Maldal

This cabin area is a local favourite with summit hikes to Reinsnuten  (1167 m above sea level) being the most popular. Trails are marked in summer and made by snowmobiles in winter.

Three historical huts are located near Maldal. Hiking to these huts is a fun family activity.

At Vetrhus, there is a day camp facility with shelter and a grill. It is a popular swimming spot for the locals. It is a fun ice-skating place in late fall, early winter.

The road from Sauda is often used by cyclists and joggers, as it offers hilly terrain with less traffic compared to other roads.
